Brewmaster's Style Rants
There's no end to beer's flexibility nor mankind's quest to expand upon, and then classify its styles. But lets's start with the picture to our left as a truly great framework along which to chart our journey.
Over the next (count the bubbles) weeks we'll travel the styles globe, from the ubiquitous (American Lager for example), to the ancient (original kvass brews), to the up and coming ( IPA). We'll talk history, serving style, unique brewing techniques, taste, aroma, mouthfeel, beer-stats, best ambassadors, and of course the best beer-food pairings - but we've got a whole page coming dedicated to that art!
Your school supplies: First hand learning is the ONLY way to truly understand and appreciate this! So invest in a quality pen, colored pencil, some good clean glasses, and one of those 'Composition' notebooks you had back in school -- and lets set sail, starting Christmas Day 2011!
